all the addons stops working after a while they don't download at full quality of the pictures some only download videos or pictures but without stories any1 knows of a tool that works? it's funny that onlyfans is so easy to download and instagram changes it's code all the time to stop downloading

Downloading is possible for both photos and videos from posts, as well as for stories, reels or profile picture. greasyfork.org Grabs pic/vids/stories. Been using it for a couple years now.

IG Downloader extension now under new ownership Bulk downloads, video downloads and the correct name of the user being download is now all fixed, video stories seem broke still Probably still have to be careful not to download too much at once to avoid bans but useful for snagging

I do believe as of now the best way to download from Instagram is using . Since it's built on top of the original Instagram APK it's pretty much the same as browsing the app, you can download stories, reels, posts at max quality. It's great for something you keep up to date with, as you cannot mass download, I've used to download hundreds of files a day and have never got any issue whatsoever, as opposed to Instaloader that got my account banned around a month ago or so. It's still possible to use Instaloader without an account an get up to 1080x1350 pictures, but will get your IP banned pretty soon.

I personally recommend WFDownloader - It's only a little bit of hassle to set up but I've had 100% success so far downloading all videos from profiles I follow.. If anyone tries it and has any questions feel free. I'm happy to help.

windows 10 pc Is anything working as a mass downloader with insta ? I ve tried almost all of the stuff listed here and nothing works for me. Every guide and video is out of date it seems...and there are so many scams! I tried online site options which just wont load more than a few pics before getting blocked or are scams or just dont work. And as an added bonus every time I make a concerted effort insta disables my account for 10-30 mins but no ban yet. Ive tried the chrome and FF extensions which just wont work and simple mass downloader (not working ) and stomgram4k (internal api error? no log in) and wfd (mobile only) and jdownloader (blocked for me) and instagram downloader github (couldnt get wokring) and iinstander (not pc) so im reduced to using instagram downloader webpage and doing each photo by hand and it keeps making me find the cross roads and chimney and bike lol which I can try and you can provide some basic help to install and use...as that seems to be where things go wrong haha - And if not an automated program then how about a clone site which just allows you to double click save each image so i could manually get it all but way faster than using ID for each photo. Any help appreciated... Click to expand... Instander can run on any emulator, Bluestacks might be the easiest, it's still manual though, no way to mass download, advantage is that it's completely safe and your account won't get banned at all. If you've got an account to spare then you can try , thing will run even on your phone, but there are Window builds, if you don't care about the max quality (1440x1800) you can use it without an account, you'll get 1080x1350 pictures. Installation is quite simple, you download the zip from the link I provided, unzip it on a folder, open the folder and type cmd on the path bar and use either of the commands ahead. instaloader -l=your_spare_account --no-captions --no-metadata-json --highlights --stories --latest-stamps account_you_want_to_rip The --no-captions and --no-metadata-json are both to avoid downloading junk, most of use just want the pictures, those two contain the post caption and some metadata. The --highlights and --stories are optional, first one will download each highlight set on a different folder and stories will download the available stories, both require to use an account. The --latest-stamps is so that it saves your progress on a text file to update easily in the future, in case you'll delete the current pictures, if you'll keep them I'd suggest changing it to --fast-update this one will stop once it reaches the last downloaded picture. One last time, if the only thing you want is to download a profile without risking any account the shortest command is: instaloader --no-captions --no-metadata-json account_to_rip

Is there any way to save Instagram lives? Pyinstalive was great when it worked. I don't know if it's just the people I follow, but I can't watch lives after the stream ends. Okay so I finally got around with playing with pyinstalive, and I got it working. But, I'm using old app/script and .ini file for it to work. I also changed the "api.py" file in the pyinstalive module. I came across someone mentioning that it only works for 3 hours before having to re-run the script again. But, I haven't tried it for that long. Good to know I got something working for the meantime.

If you don't want to use extensions/3rd party sites you can always use your browsers developer tool (press F12) and go to "Network" -> sort by "Img" -> refresh page. Double click on the photo in the list to open it in a new tab.

I use this extencion for bluk downloading: These extensions rarely cause me ban problems but if you use them sparingly you can avoid it. They have some disadvantages such as sometimes they can't download a certain number of images (perhaps because of the size of the .zip file) or sometimes they stop updating when they're outdated. Usually there are some similar ones when one stops working but this is the one that currently works best. A disadvantage of this is that it downloads absolutely everything since there have been others that gave you the option to download between a period of images that you chose or the option to download only images or only videos. For example, the extension I used before that was this but now is obsole since instagram interface change and deveploper don't update and before this there were others but they became obsolete, they were eliminated or their options changed. There are also some that you can download but not as efficient as the ones I already said where they only analyze the page and give you the option to download any image they find, like this one In conclusion, look for trusted tools and use them sparingly.

StorySave seems to have finally died, getting a "checkpoint_required" message Download the modified APK which fixes the checkpoint required issue Make sure to uninstall the current StorySave from your device first before installing the modified APK

Instagram will ban accounts downloading pictures, probably using traffic meassuring and other AI methods. I've been using instaloader (python) it works perfectly but gets you banned in less than a minute. As OP said here, creating burner accounts on mayor sites (social networks, email) is getting impossible without using real phone numbers. Burner SMS online services works 1 on 100 times, they detect those phone numbers and blacklists them. Burner emails are hard to get working too, they blacklist all they find and require a "mayor brand" email (gmail, yahoo, outlook, etc). This should rise a concern for all of you: they can see and check a lot of stuff if they want. Think of this when having a real account on any service. For NON-PRIVATE profiles you can use this site: If you want to burn an account to get a partial profile (will stop middle download, unless the profile has little media): Don't be afraid, its not "supercomplex developers stuff" you must install python (download installer execute, tick "set PATH..", next, next, next) and to use the app, you run it from your CMD, it only takes 2 arguments (the "-things" after instaloader). But remember your account will probably be banned, VPN or not. Unless the guys that develop these tools start taking a look at the core problem (which is getting burner accounts) I'm afraid that instagram farming will have to be done manually.

Edit : Disclaimer : I am not responsible for any damage that may happen while following this guide. Read every step and make sure you understand them before doing anything. Here's a quick how-to guide to use gallery-dl (for instagram) : 1. Download and install python (make sure to add python to path during install, it's a checkbox to tick) 2. Download the latest , I use the portable .exe but you can also install it to use the "gallery-dl" command anywhere on your computer. 3. Create a folder C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\gallery-dl 4. Download the with default values 5. Put that file in the folder you created in step 3 and rename it to config.json (make sure you enabled the option to change file extensions) 6. Open config.json with notepad, ctrl+F "insta" to go to the instagram options, and use these options : Code: "instagram": { "include": "avatar, posts, reels", "sleep-request": [8.0, 12.0], "sleep": [0.5, 2.0], "videos": true, "directory": ["Instagram", "{username}"], "posts": { "skip": "abort:25" }, "reels": { "skip": "abort:25" }, "avatar": { "directory": ["Instagram", "{username}"] }, "stories": { "directory": ["Instagram", "{username}", "Stories"] }, "highlights": { "directory": ["Instagram", "{username}", "Highlights", "{post_id}"] } I will explain in detail what these options do later. 7. In the main extractor options, all the way at the top of the config file, make sure your "user-agent" matches your browser's user agent. You can check what your browser user agent is on . Simply copy everything between quotation marks and replace what you have in your config file. It should look like this : Code: "user-agent": "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0", 8. Make another browser profile. For example you can make another one in firefox by running "Firefox.exe -p", which will open the profile manager. 9. On this secondary browser profile, log in the instagram account you want to use to download from gallery-dl. This means that you will be able to download from private profiles that this account has access to (follows). Do not use your main account, the risk of getting banned is not zero. 10. Install a brower extension that lets you export cookies to a .txt file. I use on Firefox. 11. Using this extension, export cookies for instagram.com. This will give you a file called "cookies-instagram-com.txt". You can put that file anywhere. 12. The command line (in cmd) you will use to download is : Code: gallery-dl --cookies "C:\[your path that leads to the cookies file]\cookies-instagram-com.txt" I recommend saving that command line in a txt file somewhere so you don't have to type it every time. Note that if you're using the portable gallery-dl.exe, you will need to cd to the folder that contains the .exe before using the command. You can use that command line to download anything from instagram. For example : "gallery-dl --cookies "C:\[your path that leads to the cookies file]\cookies-instagram-com.txt" ". This will download every post, reel, and the avatar of those two profiles. You can put as many urls in a row separated by a space as you want. You can add links to stories to download stories, links to highlights to download highlights, or even to download ALL the highlights of a user. That's it ! copy/paste as many urls as you want and watch gallery-dl download them. Regarding the options in step 6, the options I gave will do this : - for an account url, it will download every post, reel, and the avatar of that account. - the program will wait 8 to 12 seconds between each url and 0.5 to 2 secs between each file. This is to reduce the risk that instagram detects you. - the program will download videos. - the program will create a folder named instagram, and within that folder, a folder for each account. For example "C:/yourpath/Instagram/sophiadiamond". - the program will skip files already downloaded before, and will abort the download of the current url if 25 consecutive files were skipped. This is to reduce the number of requests to instagram, which reduces the risk to be detected. - the avatar/posts/reels will be together in the account folder. Stories and highlights will have their own folder within the account folder. For example "C:/yourpath/Instagram/sophiadiamond/Stories". Note that I don't use any options to change the filenames, with these options, files will have the default filename as it is on the instagram servers. If you want to customize filenames, for example to include the date in them, refer to gallery-dl , or search on reddit... I'm sure somebody already asked how to do just that on r/DataHoarders.
